  2. MeTube Galvez on April 1, 2021 at 11:18 pm

  3. Brandon Accoutiblity on April 1, 2021 at 11:18 pm

Dude get to the point, why are you talking about atmos and sound????

  4. Chris Stubbs on April 1, 2021 at 11:19 pm

I have a question about some things. I bought a LG 49UK6200PLU TV its just a 49" UHD 4K TV. So my next question is can I buy a blu ray player that provides dolby vision and actualy get it or is my tv not compatible? Also I bought a UBPX700 Sony 4k player and returned it because it was open already? I want to buy the LG SK5Y sound bar I want Dolby atmos what do you recommend I do to get dolby atmos

  5. rahul raj on April 1, 2021 at 11:19 pm

Can any one tell me Xbox one x supports .m2ts and .mkv format over hard disk contains Dolby atmos and Dolby vision

  6. minor25 on April 1, 2021 at 11:19 pm

it could be a receiver issue as well. I own an Xbox one S, 4k- atmos Onkyo receiver and LG OLED65G6P and I don’t have issues with audio at all the receiver recognize the Atmos until movies start playing

  7. cunneto2912 on April 1, 2021 at 11:21 pm

Its a terrible 4k player, value for money? Oh please, 9 out of 10, 4k films skip and freeze, take into consideration the price of a 4k film microsoft so knock another £50 off the one x at least

  8. (-_-)t on April 1, 2021 at 11:21 pm

What if I want just the Xbox s for the blueray player? I’m a PlayStation person so im always on my pro for games, the Xbox would be ONLY for 4K movies, I found one for $150. Would you recommend I get just a 4K Blu-ray player?? If so which one?

  9. Michelle Alexandria on April 1, 2021 at 11:22 pm

thinking about returning my Panasonic for the X. Has it improved as a 4k player in the last year? I know it added a bunch of features like Dolby Vision…. You should do an update video since the market has changed.

  10. Reece Anthony on April 1, 2021 at 11:24 pm

I can’t get atmos working on netflix on xbox one s, 4k blu rays work fine

  11. Kenneth Noble K-No on April 1, 2021 at 11:24 pm

Does the xbox one x play 3d movie discs?

  12. Major Gear on April 1, 2021 at 11:24 pm

Don’t forget you can also stream Plex 4k video through the Xbox One S.

  13. juniormafia27 on April 1, 2021 at 11:27 pm

Doesn’t matter to me. Bought both PS4 and Xbox X. On a 55 inch curved Samsung UHD

  14. John C on April 1, 2021 at 11:28 pm

Xbox One S vs Sony UBP-X700. I’m getting a 4KTV mainly for movies, which should I pick?

  15. Adriano Grisanti on April 1, 2021 at 11:29 pm

Hopefully the series X and PS5 will have ultra hd nailed and give some competition to stand alone players (means standalone players prices will drop).

  16. Max Wilde on April 1, 2021 at 11:33 pm

Can the color problem be fixed by a software update?

  17. Boophpoi on April 1, 2021 at 11:34 pm

Halo. Can i play on Xbox One X Blu ray player Dolby Vision Blu ray Disc in Dolby Vision?

  18. Val Kore on April 1, 2021 at 11:35 pm

My Xbox One S gets loud while playing 4K discs. Does the Xbox One X also get loud?

  19. jeremy Bower on April 1, 2021 at 11:36 pm

As far as audio goes I can still have bitstream out and just change the bit stream out from dts digital surround ,to Dolby digital to digital Atmos for home theatre(HDMI only). So for the HDMI settings it can stay on bit stream out.You don’t have to turn off bit stream off.So you dont have to change it from bit stream out to stereo uncompressed or 5.1 uncompressed or 7.1 uncompressed. Now if you want to you can,but bit stream out can stay on.You just would have to change it from atoms Todd’s digital surround or digital Dolby. So there are two menu options. One saying HDMI audio, and another menu sayingBitstream out format. You can also use Optical audio from stereo uncompressed to bit stream out.I think it’s impressive that the Xbox one s had a blue ray player and the Sony ps3 didn’t,yet Sony is the owner of Blue ray. Also it being a 4k Blue ray player and a game Council is pretty impressive for the price point. When the Xbox one s was released,if you bought a 4k Blue ray player alone it would of been a price that would be expensive compared to getting a game Council and a 4k Blue ray player combined for a little more money. The few cons don’t out weigh the pros when you consider everything. It has apps.It has a great headphones experience. It just makes more scence to me.As far as the video. It has allow 50 Hz,allow 24 Hz,it has allow low-latance mode,it has allow variable refresh rate,it has allow 3D,it has allow acc 4:2:2,it has allow 4k,it has allow HDR,and has allow Dolby Vision. That is pretty impressive to me,Just my opinion, but what do I know……………I’m not a big time tech guy.I just go by what the price point was and now is and the options that are available

  20. Alex Thorn on April 1, 2021 at 11:38 pm

I bought the 65 inch lg oled E9500 and use xbox one as my 4k player. I’ve never been impressed with any of the disc’s, (terminator 2,labyrinth, fast & furious 7 etc) they look bland and muted. Could it be the Xbox? I’m also using audio quest diamond hdmi

  21. Antti Tauriainen on April 1, 2021 at 11:40 pm

Hi Techno Dad. Can you tell me does xbox have subtitle shift option for blu-ray or for any streaming apps? I’m using 2.35:1 screen and really need to get subs shifted up.

  22. Huegtoad2011 on April 1, 2021 at 11:41 pm

4 the money its fine I have a samsung u6500 tv from like 2015 paid 500 for it and I watched infinity war on a 4k blu ray and it was amazing. even better then d+ 4k

  23. ShadowGateKDA on April 1, 2021 at 11:43 pm

I can’t get my 2600H to say Atmos. I am using a 5.1.2 setup. When I pick bitstream/Atmos my reciver only says multi channel. Using 5.1 uncompressed I get multi channel + Dsur?

  24. Andy H on April 1, 2021 at 11:44 pm

This video can probably be taken down. Its either outdated, or flat out inaccurate.

  25. Jay Henny on April 1, 2021 at 11:44 pm

  26. Maul xx on April 1, 2021 at 11:45 pm

  30. Antonio Harvey on April 1, 2021 at 11:47 pm

What is the part # for xbox one s blue ray dis player? Because I want to get the right one.It got old in trash .

  31. Amanda Rains on April 1, 2021 at 11:47 pm

I realize this sounds like a stupid question but as someone without Wi-Fi who just purchased their very first 4K television is Wi-Fi necessary to play 4K blu-rays with my Xbox one?

  32. Emil Schatz on April 1, 2021 at 11:48 pm

Bought an used Xbox One S for 60€ and it works perfrctly fine for me

  33. Mik e on April 1, 2021 at 11:48 pm

Mine skips randomly where my other 4KBD player doesn’t. Also, mine will not allow me to bitstream core audio through optical connection into my soundbar. It has to be converted all to Dolby Digital which I thought was a little stupid since my soundbar supports both Dolby and DTS formats (and the lossless ones). Why can’t I have the choice to just bitstream core audio out over optical?

  34. Michael Hughes on April 1, 2021 at 11:54 pm

Hi have an xbox one s and a sony soundbar that supports for 4k passthrough and Dolby atoms works well no issue

  35. Adrian Sandoval on April 1, 2021 at 11:55 pm

So professional at 4K but uploads a video in 1080p lol

  36. Animesh Das on April 1, 2021 at 11:56 pm

I see a potential 1 million sub channel. All the Best 😎👍

  37. afwdg99 on April 1, 2021 at 11:57 pm

When watching a (non-4K) Blu-ray on the Xbox One X on a 4K TV, does it make sense to change the Xbox output to 1080p to match the Blu-ray and allow the TV to upscale to 4K instead of the Xbox?

  38. Rajesh Gupta on April 1, 2021 at 11:57 pm

Which better in Xbox s or apple tv 4k.??

  39. Murilo Silva on April 1, 2021 at 11:57 pm

Does fps drops when we play 4k

  40. Jay Flores on April 1, 2021 at 11:57 pm

Streaming 4k is better on the xbox. The blu ray player is not the same
quality. I got the s and i noticed the 4k blu rays dont look as good

  41. Bruno Farias on April 1, 2021 at 11:57 pm

There’s one more PRO to Xbox: availability.

Here in Brazil June 2020 you have NO NATIVE 4K player on the market. Not one.

  42. Jeffrey Chan on April 1, 2021 at 11:58 pm

Techo Dad thanks for the video, got my Xbox setup with bitstream using one of the linked videos (I was wondering why my AVR wasn’t showing Dolby Atmos when I had inserted one in the Xbox One S.) Relevant to this video, what are your thoughts on the importance of 4:2:0 to 4:4:4 when playing on a projector? Projectors don’t get quite the same black as a high end OLED even with a blacked out room ( there’s going to be some sort of light coming back to the screen at 100"+ in a regular room.) Thanks!

  43. ThePathway666 on April 1, 2021 at 11:58 pm

non 4k blurays have dolby atmos too. that should work too?

  44. Claude C on April 1, 2021 at 11:59 pm

What about sound quality? If you’re watching the movie, Immortal Beloved , the Beethoven bio pic or Amadeus another bio pic where sound quality is VERY important.

  45. Brent Lyons on April 2, 2021 at 12:00 am

Hey TD… I’m having issues getting my Blu-ray discs to play on my Xbox one X while it’s running through my Sony HT-Z9F Dolby Atmos Sound bar… The TV display comes up and says that there’s no signal. Any Suggestions? I contacted MS and they just want to replace my console…

  46. Mr. Carroll Ware on April 2, 2021 at 12:01 am

I tried both Sony and Samsung stand alone Blu Ray players had enough with random stopping, rebooting it’s self wifi connection stop working I got rid of them. Xbox one x works perfectly.

  47. TheOnlyGHOST1015 on April 2, 2021 at 12:05 am

Thanks for all the info I didn’t even know the Xbox was like that

  48. Jay Flores on April 2, 2021 at 12:11 am

It does matter to me. I noticed when I play 4k on pc on my 600 dollar tv, the difference is noticeable from x box one s. The s is not bright. Feels like the Xbox one s it’s missing quality. Picture quality looks cheaper. I’m talking about the 4k blu rays here. When it streams 4k it is good though 🤔…maybe it’s the 4k drive that ain’t that good

  49. Robert Kelly on April 2, 2021 at 12:16 am

Xbox One X/S Blu ray player is inferiour to Sony standalone 4K Blu ray players

  50. Luis Flores on April 2, 2021 at 12:16 am

Idk how xbox one x looks for you guys, but on my x940e it looks terrible. Colors washed out, and not as vibrant, kind of a flat looking picture
