    *Please Fully Read It:*
Today, I’ve found an old Xbox 360 console which my uncle got 12 years ago. It was manufactured in 11/11/2006 and probably like 10 years ago, I broke it. It had an RROD plus I remember how my uncle tried to fix but it was unsuccessful. After the console got RROD, he completely abandoned it which was like 10 years ago. It was an original white one though. So basically today, I’ve found it in his balcony and of course it still had an RROD from 10 years ago. I turned it on today and it had the 3 red lights, just like in the past. I’ve tried to fix it by doing the towel trick to fix it and to my surprise it worked! It was a bit time consuming but It was DEFINITELY worth it. Man, I was so happy! I hooked my Xbox 360 to the TV and the experience was amazing. There was an old startup and that godly Blades, everything was the same like 10 years ago. Man, it was unforgettable. The nostalgia was amazing and I was extremely happy. Visiting an old friend felt good, even took a video of it and sended it to my uncle. Man it was amazing I swear.

However, then I inserted the Xbox 360’s Elite ‘120GB HDD’ hard drive on top of the original white Xbox 360. No, my console wasn’t connected to the internet. Then the f***ing abomination happened. The storage device contained a system update, man, I thought it would be Blades but with less bugs but I was f***ing wrong, it was that NXE dashboard which I hated. The update was from the storage device, from an Elite one to be exact. I felt so sad, I literally wasted time for the original dashboard and then it was gone. Thank you for reading, and are there any ways to get back to the Blades dashboard without a JTAG and RGH? The original Xbox 360 console wasn’t connected to the internet ever since it got a RROD.

  8. SilentShad0W679 on May 5, 2021 at 12:37 am

You know what’s funny on the newer dashboards the time still defaults to 2005.

  9. FakkuElite on May 5, 2021 at 12:37 am

I have an hdd that was attached to an xbox with the most recent dashboard, does anyone know if it will try to update my blades console if I try to attach it?

*Edit:* Turns out it just asks you to update as if you placed in a later game disk, you can hit "don’t update" and go back to the dashboard. From there, you can format the hard drive and it will not ask to update again.

  11. Vince Playz on May 5, 2021 at 12:42 am

man i never had a 360 in this era but i’m nostalgic for it all the same. i can just imagine someone just buying "the new xbox 360" in 2005 and booting it up to this.. only if those poor souls only knew what they were getting into.

  12. Nick on May 5, 2021 at 12:43 am

I used to have a late 2009 jasper on 7371. I recently found a late 2005 xenon (October) on 2.0.2xxx (blades) in mint condition with its original 20gb hdd for 10 bucks at a local recycling center.

Just got one of these. Actually did a speed test between the two dashboards and it’s actually pretty interesting. Though I’m now selling this as I don’t need it and have no desire to mod it

  15. LashingRook716 on May 5, 2021 at 12:50 am

The oldest dashboard I have with 360 is an NXE I bought off of ebay that was an early 2006 model so it has an Xenon with 2 fans and I got the Nyko intercooler EX

  33. Rob on May 5, 2021 at 1:12 am

Hey man you might not remember me, I was the one who asked you to check out my xenon blades console, well I have an update about one of my consoles. I had a Jasper JTAG for 5 years and haven’t used it in a long time, but recently I check the original nand on jrunner and it said it was on 6717, the last blades dashboard! So I flashed the original nand to the Jasper and it’s no longer a JTAG anymore, but it’s now a very rare 256mb Jasper xbox on the blades dashboard, yes you read that right, a Jasper big block system on the blades. I’ll make a video on it soon, just thought you should know.

This was my favorite dashboard. you can customize it to what you want. i recieved a 360 one christmas and it still had the original dashboard. i wanted to keep it but i could not because it would not let me get online. made me sad to see it go. if i find a 360 with the original i will keep it on the first dashboard.

If your 360’s are having graphics problems (like you mentioned about the chequered screen) i would strongly urge you to have those 360 GPU chips.Re-balled.Do not do the reflow method (with a heat gun) as it’s not a permanent fix to solve the problem.I would spend the money on getting both 360 GPU’s re-balled.You won’t regret it.Oh and please don’t update your dashboards neither lolol. The old blades style still looks way better than the updated dashes.

  43. IDestroyall on May 5, 2021 at 1:21 am

Hi there I’ve got a question to ask. If you do put in a newer game like from 2010 or 2013 into the console, when you decline the update and it takes you back to the dashboard does the game info say display ‘Play Game’ or ‘Open Tray’ or does it actually display the title of a modern 360 game like ‘WWE 2K17’?
because i’d like to use this dashboard as a video intro. Hope you get back, thanks.

*A Guide How to Almost Get The Xbox 360 Blades Dashboard ‘Experience’:*

    Method 1:
JTAG or RGH your Xbox 360. There is a good way to get the Blades dashboard back, but its a bit risky.

    Method 2:
Buy an Xbox 360 Kiosk Disc’s. This is probably the most safest way and it needs absolutely no modding, there are a bit rare and most of them contain the Blade’s UI. If you are looking for them, I absolutely recommend to buy them from the E-Bay. Also, always look at the version of the disc on the internet. Some contain the NXE.

    Method 3:
This one is my favorite and its completely free. Simply, just download and convert this video and place it on your USB. Also, download the ‘Original Xbox 360 Startup’ video then and make sure that both of them are HD. Open up your Xbox 360’s System Video Player and make sure you open the Original Xbox 360 Startup first then you instantly open up the Blade’s video. Make sure you remove the battery pack from your controller and just imagine that you are using it. Turn up the volume high so you can here these sounds. Once the video finishes, open up the Xbox Guide, go to the bottom and then select the option to play the game and from there and instantly play some amazing classics.

The link for the startup video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92coix3E_vY
The link for the Blade’s video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZYhri2tsM4
Use any converter you like. Select them to be at the highest quality.

    Method 4:
Buy the original white Xbox 360 which was never updated to NXE. Be aware that most of them are the faulty ones. Also, I recommend to look at the E-Bay for them. Some of them are cheap.

I have an xbox that has this dash but sadly it won’t turn on anymore. It didn’t have any rrod or anything like that, it just won’t turn on. I’m almost positive it’s the usb port because it’s messed up and something’s blocking it. That can cause a short circuit with the motherboard preventing the xbox from turning on but I don’t know how to fix it:( It was working one second, I turned it off, and a while later I bring it out again to try it out and it just won’t turn on:(
