The way I dealt with my gaming addiction was by getting rid of windows and switching over to Linux. Trust me, it really helps.

My way of getting over a video game addiction (where i was gaming for like 12+ hours a day) is I stoped playing for a month and focused on other hobbies and recently started gaming casually again for approximately 0-7 hrs a night

I quit one of my addictions, and then got addicted to video games as I was gifted a PS4 for Christmas a couple of years ago. For nearly a year I hardly touched it. Now I believe I am addicted to it. (It’s happened over the last 2-3 months) I think I’m going to pack my PS4 in a box, and tape it up, for one month, if I can’t stop thinking about it, I might have to consider getting rid of it. I know this won’t fix the root cause, which is likely not enjoying the reality of the pandemic and wanting to escape it. But if it’s not around at least I can’t get sucked in.

It’s the thrill of violence and achievement and success and victory and winning that people are addicted to and the problem with the mobile game is that it’s a heck of a lot easier to access one because many are free and out of the ones that are free, many are ongoing for you have to keep playing them on and on and on and on forever or at least an extremely long time. There is no end. Your brain thinks that it’s being rewarded, but all you’re doing is staring at pixels. You’re not actually achieving anything. You’re wasting time, you’re not eating, you’re not sleeping, you’re not interacting with real, actual people. What’s more, if you play a console game like for the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One, You’re staring at a television screen, so the screen is big enough that you won’t have to get right up to it. With a mobile screen because it’s smaller, you’re going to be a lot closer to it which is much worse for your eyes which will dry out your eyes and strain them. For the record, I’m not speaking out about video games, although video game addiction can be terrible too. I’m talking about mobile game addiction, which is much worse.

I haven’t had a video game since 2014 i refuse to buy one

  20. CSUF on April 4, 2021 at 11:50 pm

Just keep in mind playing video games will have terrible side effects like losing short term memory, losing concentration, but the terrible one is experiencing idiocy or mind degradation because when person plays video game, his brain will use all its power to focus on the game and using all mind ability instead of using it in the real world.

The video talks about video game addiction, its causes; As are lonely life habits, lack of stimulation in different areas, as well as anxiety, depression, ADHD, among others, could generate a more difficult situation. Signs and treatments, etc. Say it in a respectful and honest way while sending a very important message like "remember real life is worth fighting for and never give up"."

I quit school because of gaming i gave up alot for gaming. I got depresion i was and still am scared for people and what they would think about me and it only made me game more. I still had some friends il go to in the weekends i then got on drugs i loved it but i used it to much and needed it. I would be awake for 4 days crazy on drugs then crash and wake up and continue gaming. I tried fixing it i stil game i stil use drugs but not all day i game about max 5 hours a day now and only use drugs for my own fun in the weekends. And u can say why u still use drugs ? Cause it actualy helps me in difrent ways. And i used to do 4 g a day of the magical baking powder. I lowerd it to 0.5 g only in the weekends. I only do mdma once a month and smoking weed only at night.
