  3. Bill G on April 25, 2021 at 12:28 am

I used your links to get 1-850 and 2-1000s to meet what I believe are my needs. Thank you for cutting through all the noise that A m a z o n reviews were generating

  4. Elijah Kulpinski on April 25, 2021 at 12:28 am

Love the video, really answers a lot of questions other videos don’t! Just curious about picking one, like say you have an 850W PSU and a 50W monitor, would you need to get a 1000W UPS or could you manage with a 500W one with less runtime. Really comparing the wattage of a PSU and UPS can get a bit confusing lol.

  5. Wheels gone Wild on April 25, 2021 at 12:31 am

approximately how long will a 900 watt ups power a 65 inch flat screen tv? just the tv will be plugged into the battery part of the ups

  6. TY Tang on April 25, 2021 at 12:32 am

Best UPS basics video on Youtube!!

  7. RemyLordSki on April 25, 2021 at 12:34 am

hey so i just order a very beefy pc from origin that has a 1250 psu which batter pack would you recommend

  8. Nawaz Sayed on April 25, 2021 at 12:37 am

Can any of the UPS be connected to 230 volts AC power supply?

  9. DragonWolf5589 on April 25, 2021 at 12:40 am

ive been looking at these for a while but every single one i find in the uk have "kettle plugs" (as we call them here, the shape of what the psu plug sockets are) rather then standard uk plugs which is a pain to work with as means special cables and convertors for monitors internet router etc – only ones that use UK outlets are the basic ones that maybe give you 10 minutes of backup.

  10. RalfyRants on April 25, 2021 at 12:40 am

So i can plug in my pc, monitor and a wifi router all in the same unit? if so then whitch one you would recommend to me if i dont need any fancy features or a lot of battery time, just make sure i can save my work, send it out and safely shut down.

  11. Ebi Wariebi on April 25, 2021 at 12:40 am

Hi, i play videos games on a lenovo legion 5i and i’m currently in a location that does not have 24hrs power supply. i’m interested in getting a power backup for my laptop and a few peripherals for an hour so i don’t lose performance. what would you recommend?

  12. John Browning on April 25, 2021 at 12:40 am

Do you think the CP1500PFCLCD would still prevent a pc from shutting off during a power outage even if it’s plugged into an ungrounded outlet? You said that if it was ungrounded it would only effect the surge protection part right?

  13. Kattledoge -.- on April 25, 2021 at 12:44 am

Could i hook one of these up to my fridge?

  14. Anton B on April 25, 2021 at 12:45 am

Great video guys! Ive been looking for a comprehensive review on these. I’ll be getting the small one for my network and you think it’s advisable to just go all out for my laptop and monitor for maximum uptime incase of an outage (for work not gaming so it’s mostly video calls and stuff)? There’s a 1500VA 900w model in my area

  15. Hugo Sosa on April 25, 2021 at 12:45 am

What would you recommend for a 65inch TV with bose 700 sound system?

  17. Ethan NewFuse on April 25, 2021 at 12:48 am

I am needing a UPS and you mentioned around 13:50 that we can connect the USB to the computer, but there is only 1 USB port, I have a Synology NAS and will need a USB port also, I am looking at the CyberPower PFC Sinewave 1300VA/780Watt UPS as I am in Australia Scorptec website, I want connect my 650W PC, Monitor, ASUS Modem Router, Synology 918+ and Icybox 4 bay storage (Non-Raid) and have it set up that when power is lost, to kick everything in to shutdown / sleep mode how would I configure? and is CyberPower PFC Sinewave 900 VA / 540 Watts UPS more than enough to do the task? thanks in advance

  18. onofrio piccolino on April 25, 2021 at 12:48 am

I just bought the CyberPower model LX1500GU. It is 1500VA with 900w, I bought it from Best Buy. It is 2021 Best Buy has a habit of selling discontinued items

  19. Gamer Pro on April 25, 2021 at 12:52 am

I have a question for the cp15000, they have to be always connect to the power or not

  20. Tweety tou on April 25, 2021 at 12:53 am

Great video and ton of info. i have 2 concerns .. what would you recommend just for a modem / Router combo and a routing switch – when the power shuts off and second would be for desktop , 2 monitors and hard drive !!

  21. Ed Busacker on April 25, 2021 at 12:53 am

Thank you both for making this one! You answered all of my questions. I ordered the CP1000AVRLC using your link, liked and subscribed. The main thing I’ll be protecting is an old Synology DS211J NAS I bought used recently.

  22. Edsel Earl Dausen Convento on April 25, 2021 at 12:54 am

Should i follow the recommended ups VA or should i go higher? My recommended is 900 VA. Should i go with the 1000 VA or 1350VA?

  23. Joe Mckirdy on April 25, 2021 at 12:54 am

Can anyone @techspin confirm that in fact the link will deliver a CP1500PFCLCD 1000 watt rated version not the CP1500PFCLCDTAA which is 900 watt rated. So many vendors have this listed incorrectly, I am concerned about ordering/receiving the wrong product.

  24. Kemaro on April 25, 2021 at 12:55 am

Thanks so much for this. I will watch the whole video but how loud are they

  25. Glenda Hawkins on April 25, 2021 at 12:55 am

I have the 850 VA. I wonder if that’s enough. My husband says it would buy me enough time for him to fire up his generator. 🤷‍♀️

  26. J Synth on April 25, 2021 at 12:55 am

There are a lot of negative comments about these units on Amazon. Should I lesten to them?

  27. Omid Mazinani on April 25, 2021 at 12:56 am

  29. Bio Hacker on April 25, 2021 at 1:03 am

So, let me get this straight! the 600W model will power a router? for 3hr 30 mins but on the website and on amazon they something that hald load, max load, and give like 8min, and then like 2 minutes for a max load? so how it goes from 3 hours to 2 minutes? Please can you help me, I just need ups that last for 3 hours when there is no power as my laptop will use its own battery, please l just need energy for my router to work! any comments or help will be apreacited.

  30. John Versluis on April 25, 2021 at 1:03 am

I have been using UPS for 25 years and I have never had a small UPS last more then 7-10 min 1500va on power , I have seen my small synology nas batter last for 45 min only because it draws so little wall power The numbers that your giving is from the CO and need to do a real tested your self like system that is running behind you see how long that small ups keeps running

  31. JimmyDean1992 on April 25, 2021 at 1:05 am

I really wanna get the Cp1500PFCLCD but the customer service experiences on amazon are scaring me. Ahh what to do what to do. Great review tho!

    Very helpful. Thank you.

  33. Christine Navarrete on April 25, 2021 at 1:06 am

Great video, well explained. Do you keep the UPS plugged in daily? Or, can it be stored away, fully charged, until it’s ready for use?

  34. Tucson Don on April 25, 2021 at 1:06 am

I have my 1500 setup for modem, security camera, Dish Hopper, etc. When my house lost power, the UPS immediately provided power.
I was not home and after two hours, the UPS shutdown. So, everything worked as expected. However, when power was restored to the house, my UPS stayed shutdown and my device where shut-off as well. I would have preferred they come back on and the UPS charge up again. Do I have something set incorrectly for did everything work the was it was designed?

  35. Glenda Hawkins on April 25, 2021 at 1:10 am

I am an online ESL teacher. Which of these do you recommend for a potential power outage? I teach 2-4 hours each morning with an iPad.

  36. Moisés Silva on April 25, 2021 at 1:10 am

The cp1500 can fix eletricity issues aswell even when theres is no blackout? Like, Voltage irregularities and other eletrical problems?

  37. ShortCappy on April 25, 2021 at 1:10 am

13:18 – The RB1280X2B replacement battery you’ve shown is meant to be used in the original CP1500PFCLCD unit. The replacement battery to use in the redesigned CP1500PFCLCDa unit showcased in this video is the RB1290X2 battery. Take it from someone who owned the original CP1500PFCLCD and currently owns a GX1500U, the latter which is almost identical to the CP1500PFCLCDa.

  38. Ankesh Pandey on April 25, 2021 at 1:12 am

I am a gamer and a streamer. Power goes off twice or thrice a week for max 10 minutes in my location. I want that 5 to 10 mins backup while gaming + streaming.

My PSU is Gigabyte PB 500 and GPU is AMD RX 580 and a single 24inch 75hz monitor

Shall I buy Cyberpower 1500VA, will that fulfill my work

  39. Patricio Avila cardenas on April 25, 2021 at 1:13 am

Very interesting video. Which type of electronics are sensitive to simulated/pure sine waves. Do gaming consoles reduce their life expectancy if they are powered by simulated sine waves?

  40. Shane Greaves on April 25, 2021 at 1:13 am

This was a really good video. Thought I knew about UPS but I learned a few things.

  41. GxVersatile on April 25, 2021 at 1:14 am

@techspin hey guys, I’m not able to understand why my PC (PCU 550W, Graphic Card 8 GB R390 AMD, 8GB Ram, Intel i5 6th Gen, pc cabinet with 7 fans, 250GB SSD, 1TB SATA) gets shut down even on my UPS 1000VA when power comes back and UPS switches from battery backup to electricity. I’m not able to understand do I need bigger UPS or bigger power supply. I also tried Using my system without graphic card and I’m still facing the same issue. Not sure what could be the solution i hope you guy could help me undersand.

  42. Emmanuel Rodriguez on April 25, 2021 at 1:15 am

Great video! One aspect that wasn’t covered is the noise. Are these UPS making any noise? I’m looking at replacing an old APC that’s constantly making noise even if it’s not using the battery which is highly distracting when working.

Are these UPS adding noise when working without relying on battery power? Since these are compact models mean to be close to the computer, I would appreciate to buy one of these units as long as they are not noisy.

  43. Dden 37 on April 25, 2021 at 1:15 am

Can I plug in my air conditioning, audio system, TV, and wifi at the same time?

  44. Mai H Dang on April 25, 2021 at 1:18 am

I just curious, EC850LCD is simulated sine wave output, is it really work with your pc psu? Thanks for review.
I have CP1500EPFCLCDa and work perfectly with my pc (corsair rm850x PSU), i’m looking for second one that Value Pro 1600VA (it’s simulated Sine Wave) and it much cheaper than sinewave unit but i’m not sure with it work with APFC PSU.
