How fitting. Gold systems are the most expensive. But not as expensive as real gold of course.

I remember my Dad and I waited outside Toy R Us for 2 hours in line for a N64 system. I was such a lucky kid to have one day one.

How do you find things like the controller insert, plastic bags, and twist ties?

Toys R Us actually re-emerged from bankruptcy under the TRU kids umbrella. Two Toys R Us branches exist in America as of today. Online orders are being fulfilled by separate online retailers.

So. Today I got the extreme green console box variation. I pretty certain you don’t have that one. I’ve watched most of your videos and you only mention it once. Mind you I’m only half way through this video at the moment.

Toys R Us was my Disneyland when I was kid in the 90s.I remember I would tell my parents to take us there on Sundays after church.Even tho we didn’t buy anything lol but it was fun just to look at all the toys and play some demos from the consoles they had in display.

FYI, I can confirm: my system is the same with that oddly placed jungle green cartridge insert. Thought that was really weird the day I bought it from TRU!

Back in summer June 2001 birthday I when to the toy r us to get a n64, when arrived I saw gold one they bought it for me. Later i trade it 2003 for a playstation 1 console I regret it. Then in 2015 I bought it again with the box in perfect condition.

Here is my story about this gold Nintendo 64. I think I was around 18 years old when I saw this gold Nintendo 64 console came out and I remember seeing it behide the glass display at the store and at the time I didn’t know how rare it was. I asked the worker there how many they had and he said a few along with the extra gold controller alone. I didn’t buy the gold console because I didn’t have the money for it but I did buy the gold controller. I think the gold console was there for only a week until it was sold out and they never got anymore in stock. I would of bought it if I had the money but I didn’t get paid from my work on time so I missed out in it and really i’m kinda upset because I did wanted the gold console to go along with my collection. Now I did buy both Zelda gold games from KB Toys when they were release and I bought two of each so one I can open and the other is sealed for collecting. I had the grey bag and receipt to them but I must have lost them somewhere but for the two gold Zelda games I still have them sealed and I thought about selling them. I do have the gold controller from Toys R Us still sealed as well and the condition is still like new and for the games they are like new like perfect. I kept these items because I knew they would be rare one day and I was a collector to everything I seen that was valuable and I started collecting 1997 to 2001 and then I had to stop because of bills and stuff so yeah I was a young teen-ager at the time having fun in collecting and I miss those days. 🙂 I’m 44 years old now so seeing this video brought me smiles so thank you for that but yes I am selling my gold Nintendo stuff if anyone is interested so write to me here.

N64 Gold Toys R Us Controller, still new and perfect.
N64 Gold Zelda Ocarina Of Time, still new and sealed perfect.
N64 Gold Zelda Majora’s Mask, still new and sealed perfect.

Would you take $1 million dollars for your entire Nintendo collection? Or is money not a factor to you, and the overall joy of the collection has more worth than a price tag? I would love insight on your mindset towards your collection, and if at all you ascribe any monetary value to it, or if you simply view it as too near and dear to your heart and wouldn’t ever sell it. Thank you!
