Santan solar used off grid snail trail panels for beginners review.
Unboxing the snail trail Santan Solar 250 watt panels .

Call them up for the best deals on solar panels and freight. I also used the website to save on taxes that Ebay charges me. They use a different freight company that could save you some $$$$$$$$. Santan Solar has been great and their customer service is great.

Info from there website. SKU: SS-T250-60P-USED-BLEMS This listing is for 250W solar panels. These are used panels. They have developed a cosmetic blemish known as a snail trail. This does not affect the output of the panel. Manufacturing labels have been removed. Panels have been tested and have good output. These would need to be for off-grid applications.

Nice. Have you tested them with charge controller or installed them on your cabin?

That’s pretty cool… Are those snail trails or scratches gonna affect the performance of the panel?

What makes them ‘for off grid’? Is it off grid only? -Why?

I have finished all my testing and all panels passed my test. I have 2 panels that are really scratched and need to find a way to make them look nice. I recommend these to beginners and will work great on Mppt Charge controllers. Depending on your charge controller you can do 2 or 3 in series on cheaper controllers. I will do 4 in series on my charge controller that I will buy soon.

I just ordered ( 10) 270 watts panels from Santan solar. Now found your video, I think i will be please with them. Already have some going into the grid. This should put an end to my bill. Not counting min service fee.

There is not much information about these Snail Trail panels from Santansolar that I decided to upload a quick video. I hope this will help you understand the condition of these used panels and the defects to be expected. They perform close to specs from what I can see today. I will do a test video once the days are clear.
