    Thanks for the full review and tear-down. I was interested in one of these, but I’ve now looked on Amazon as well and too many other people had the same experience you did. I have no idea how stuff like this passes quality control. I might look into buying an actual Atari joystick and a usb converter. for the same cost though, I could get an Atari Flashback 9 (has an SD card slot, rewind feature and save state).

    I’m not sure why would some one want an Atari 2600 controller for PC only to play Atari games

    I have two Retrolink controllers. A NES controllerand a Mega Drive controller. The NES one is fine for the price I guess, but the Mega Dribe one is a complete piece of crap. This company makes very low quality products.

    Open it, when you notice a crack at the part that presses the buttons, use super glue or epoxy to fix that crack. I did the same thing, back in 2018.
