I bought it new for £149 back in 2016, now I see that was a good choice 😉

I have the tablet right now in my hands and it’s the worst tableter ever don’t buy this shit

The Nintendo Switch is the new Nvidia Shield Tablet. When Nintendo agreed to use the Tegra X1 chips for their handheld consoles they forced Nvidia to not make any new Tablets of their. This was to avoid competition between the two companies. So if you want a new Shield Tablet and already have a Switch then you aren’t missing out on anything.

Important: inner this tablet and it always drains down to twenty two percent so fast, how do I fix this

  6. Jay Galbraith on April 12, 2020 at 2:20 pm

The battery is so bad for me

  7. Chance Adams on April 12, 2020 at 2:20 pm

I have the Nvidia shield tablet K1
The glass covering the front and back cameras fell out
The front top rubber piece covering the speaker fell off
On the back, the hard plastic stickers that spell out SHIELD fell out
Other than that it’s a really good tablet, no lagg. It’s running Android 7.0 just fine. And I just ROOTed it this morning using TWRP and SuperSU.
I wish I new a way to flash Android 9 or 10 on the shield tablet K1 whilst keeping root access.

  8. rmu2867 on April 12, 2020 at 2:23 pm

Still using my OG Shield in 2019 too. Hopefully, I can still keep it running for another year. I wish they would come out with a new model.

  9. Old Soul on April 12, 2020 at 2:25 pm

IT’S old, definitely not even competitive with more modern devices if I try to turn the graphics all the way up on a battle royale game it literally gets too hot to hold and just lags out. And some games are not compatible with it like Cyber Hunter Wichita is an awesome new game

  10. ironshark123 on April 12, 2020 at 2:26 pm

How I wish if Nvidia makes their game library available for the iPad line up😅

  11. jennster vlogs on April 12, 2020 at 2:26 pm

I’m using this tablet now and I had no idea that they discontinued it. It lags now and isn’t as good as it was. The screen is cracked as hell because I was stupid with it 😂 I’m angry at myself for that 😤

  12. Trijetz on April 12, 2020 at 2:26 pm

I would love to own a tablet like this! You just convinced me that this is a tablet of choice. You just earned a like!

  13. Ian dykes on April 12, 2020 at 2:26 pm

which version do you have and what was that top down game

  14. Jack Evans on April 12, 2020 at 2:26 pm

Why are these still available brand new in 2020 from retailers if they were discontinued ? I don’t get it.

Watching on the original LTE version.

  19. Brazen Bull on April 12, 2020 at 2:34 pm

My only gripe is the device is so powerful that it still drains battery while plugged in if you’re using it. Perhaps the next revision will address this

  20. Tristeriix on April 12, 2020 at 2:34 pm

I still have one laying around in mint condition. Though I already have top of the line hardware that exceed all. But for when it came out it’s overwhelmingly powerful. I’ve done every benchmark on that tablet and the scores are mental.

  21. John Christakos on April 12, 2020 at 2:35 pm

I’m curious why nVidia did not release a successor to this tablet. I loved this tablet, though I have the original version, not the K1. I just wish it still worked correctly. Mine is so slow no matter what I try. Reset it countless times, performance mode set to max. Even a clean install, go straight to youtube and rotate the tablet, it lags, horribly.

  22. DevilofRoses on April 12, 2020 at 2:35 pm

Mine was stolen. 🙁 Still have the controller and the HDMI cable I used with it.

  23. adan din on April 12, 2020 at 2:35 pm

does it still lagging?can u play pubg mobile on it pls

  24. Tom F on April 12, 2020 at 2:36 pm

Ear that nvidia ? You canceled the NX tablette because of the switch. Now the switch has its market, it is time to relaunch the Shield Nx.

  25. Rąv on April 12, 2020 at 2:37 pm

how do you manage to have your tablet run so fast and smooth? mine is really quite slow even after resetting it.

  26. rohit Hiha on April 12, 2020 at 2:40 pm

  28. Ghozer on April 12, 2020 at 2:43 pm

"and this tablet can still play it" – Technically it’s not playing it, it’s just streaming it…. the Steam Link device is MUCH lower spec, and just as capable at streaming…

  29. christopher hayes on April 12, 2020 at 2:43 pm

Still good due to the free games you can play … There is a big selection of AAA PC titles you can still stream free on it so it ain’t dead yet

Nvidia shield tablet k1 can insert sim card or not??

  35. Martin Rath on April 12, 2020 at 2:50 pm

I have one and I classify it as one of the worst investment I made over the last 10 years. I’m not a gamer and bought it to replace a Nexus 7 (2nd gen). It was frustrating from day 1. It may be great for gamers but for day to day use it’s terrible : constant lag, poor performance just to browse the web with 3 tabs open, terrible battery life. I refuse to buy an iPad as I want to stick in the Android world but it has really been hard lately …

  36. ojmardueno on April 12, 2020 at 2:51 pm

What are you talking about? The Nvidia Shield tablet is still being sold today..

They call it Nintendo Switch now…. 😎

  37. Aun Ali on April 12, 2020 at 2:51 pm

I had one and i don’t even remember how i broke it.

  38. Anonymous Ninja on April 12, 2020 at 2:54 pm

    WHERE DO YOU BUY IT?????

  39. ElcomeSoft on April 12, 2020 at 2:55 pm

I sold my K1 and went back to my Nexus 7 (2013) in early ’16. Best decision I made, the battery life was terrible and adding in the slow response times, it felt like a step back in time rather than a leap forward it’s specs promised.

Now, it seems like it’s still the best budget 8" fully Android tablet going which makes me sad.

  40. Noob Master69 on April 12, 2020 at 2:56 pm

They need to make a nvidia shield tablet again because im planing to buy a good for gaming tablet and this is my choice

  41. Stealthmode X on April 12, 2020 at 2:58 pm

Nvidia indeed needs a new 2019/2020 tablet! So few upgrades needs to be done like more RAM and newer Android version and we would all be very happy buyer’s!!

  45. Koloax [Official] on April 12, 2020 at 3:07 pm

I always wanted this because of the concept the only android tablet playing pc games and half life 2 and portal ports were awesome. I have this tablet not k1 but this tablet is still fast and you can still play NVIDIA Games even new ones and hl2 and portal is still buyable thank goodness they didbt shut down nvidia games or hl2 and portal ports 🙂

  46. Tom F on April 12, 2020 at 3:11 pm
