I have had two bad experiences with Square Trade. I WILL NEVER GET THAT AGAIN! First bad experience was I had to have the original receipt. It came from ebay so I sent them a copy of the ebay auction close page that showed I won the item and the price. They rejected that. I got screwed! Second time, the item was a "generic chinese" manufacturer. Since there was no manufacturer available they rejected the claim! It looks like ONLY name brands that appear in their manufacturer list are covered! BEWARE!

I plan on buying a tv soon at target and i see that their website offers a 3 year protection plan with squaretrade option. Do you recommend getting this plan? I plan on getting a cheaper less known brand 55 inch for $279 and relying on the plan for 3 years safety to save money.

I purchased my television November 2019, I filled a claim July 2020 Here it is January 2021 and square trade is finally settling my account. I purchased my television for $729.00 at Sam’s Club Newington, CT and today square trade is sending me $329.00 to cover my television. I will be forwarding all of this information to the Better Business Bureau and every social media I can get this horrible company to.

I had a swollen iPhone battery that SquareTrade paid Apple to replace. No complaints.

I found this video while doing research on square trade. I shop on ebay a lot & I did hear while back they got sued. One reason too they offer warranty stuff on toys & stuff protection plans.. If you buy a $55 figure no electronic nothing like that. It says would you like to buy a protection plan on ebay Lucky that is optional. My mom said it is just free money for them really I really think squaretrade shouldn’t do that non eligible products.

  11. Jimmy on March 4, 2021 at 10:17 pm

Square trade is a scammed. Ask for my money back. Still No email back after 6 months. It’s only 12-14 dollars. But the item is well over $100 + . They give you ALL kinds of excuses.

  12. Carrie Bishop on March 4, 2021 at 10:20 pm

I am so grateful for you sharing this video because I was going to buy my son-in-law a soda $500 chair with the gas lifter that lifts up the seat and buy some of the reviews they say it breaks down so I was going to purchase this warranty for $69. I asked the lady I said now is this a simple warranty where I don’t have to jump through hoops to get this done is it plain and simple and she says yes. Evidently I’m so glad I checked on this. Take care God bless, Carrie

  15. Apesetas Comp on March 4, 2021 at 10:22 pm

They are happy to take your money when you buy a plan but don’t expect any customer service when you file a claim. They have a chat support on their site but no one is ever there to chat with. There is no phone number or email they will answer so RUN DON’T WALK AWAY FROM SQUARE TRADE WARRANTY unless you enjoy getting ripped off.

I have never had one of these insurance companies honor their protection/insurance plans. That is why I don’t buy any warranty outside of a car warranty.

One time i called them to have my motherboard fixed. The latches that hold the PCI gpu card cracked off. Also
it malfunctioned. The entire motherboard died. They told me i had to wait 3 years in order for me to start using the protection plan. So at the time it was 2016, i had to wait till 2019. I said, why!? she said thats just their terms and conditions, i have to wait for the board to get used more or something. I said bullshit. Thats stupid. She said, sorry! and that was the end of the call. I said to myself i would never use this shitty ass scam company again. I dont know why newegg would even have them to begin with. I guess they get money from it. I had to sign up, fill out online forms, and get a free RMA from ASUS to replace the faulty board. The board was only 3 months old at the time. Later down the line around 2017-2018, the latches both snapped off. So getting your Geforce card out, you have to pry it out, risk damaging your card or board so thats bullshit. I paid $20 and it covered shit. Not a damn thing. So now if i were to call them, they will say it has expired because i waited 3 years. Fuck SquareTrade PP. Its a scam and a rip off. You better off sending it to the manufacturer because it got fixed, the Protection Plan didnt. Save your money, use it to send it to the manufacturer if there is a repair fee or most likely it will be free.

  26. Woodsman on March 4, 2021 at 10:32 pm

Square Trade was purchased by Allstate, the Square Trade sight is currently down.

ACHTUNG!
    ———
    Terrible, they are #scammers.
I can’t believe that companies like #mediamarkt work with scam companies. It has been 3 weeks since they have my Google Pixel 3a, and so far they do not solve the problem, they kept the cellul and the money.

    =——

  29. DriverSteve on March 4, 2021 at 10:34 pm

Extended warranties are almost always a bad deal! It’s kind of like a casino where you know the casino ALWAYS makes their money! Most people don’t reap the benefits of an extended warranty because most people don’t use them or are denied for whatever reason! You’re basically GAMBLING that you MIGHT need to repair a product later down the road with NO GUARANTEES!!!

  30. Diaz Miranda on March 4, 2021 at 10:35 pm

Let’s boicot them they are thieves
You register the product and after you lost receipt you LOST your money because EVEN with a confirmation number they will say Sorry we dont have this product and we dont know what you’re talking about
    Call NEWS!!!

  31. Carlos Cabrera on March 4, 2021 at 10:39 pm

I was gonna get square trade with my new laptop at Costco. It came with a two year warranty with costco. Square trade offers a three year warranty but square trade starts from day one so in other words your paying for one year of coverage. FYI most HP laptops last an average of three years.

  35. Jason James on March 4, 2021 at 10:42 pm

An enterprising law firm should be able to make some money filing a class action suit against SquareTrade/Allstate. They don’t really offer a warranty service/repair service. It appears Square Trade (now Allstate) does nothing but play a numbers game. I think it is quite likely that Squaretrade/Allstate employs bean counters that calculate how often they will be sued, and what the cost of the litigation and damages will be. I doubt they rarely actually ever pay a claim. That is all just part of the equation for these fake warranty companies. Before they ever pay up on a claim, they simply offer you a refund of what you paid for your warranty so that you will have no future right to sue. For a major appliance, warranty holders are claiming they tell you that YOU must arrange for your own repair services and then submit the claim to them. Not surprising, they almost always deny the claim. It’s time someone held these fake warranty companies accountable.

  36. KiwiClaw DHA on March 4, 2021 at 10:45 pm

The only time I would have used it, I had bought the item and insurance through Amazon. Calling Amazon about it. They refunded the item before going to Squate Trade. It might have been the preferred option from the two videos I watched about Square trade. The first was good and then they screwed you.
I hope you have better luck.

How do we get that pdf

  38. guitarrista666 on March 4, 2021 at 10:48 pm

Sounds like they just decided to call something physical damage when it just
fell apart under normal wear and tear. The hamsters who reneged on your claim
probably got extra brownie points for "saving the co. money". Enough of this
kind of crap and the "co." will end up in the toilet.

  39. 1smokee1 xxx on March 4, 2021 at 10:52 pm

This is not the company to buy a warranty.they are thieves.
I bought an item on Ebay and it offered square trade so I bought it also.my item never came and I was given full refund including taxes for the item so now I don’t need the warranty.
When I asked for a full refund because I never recieved my item they tried to refund my money minus the taxes telling me some bullshit about the taxes go to irs.and?my card was charged and I want the full refund.after being persistent and not listening too the bullshit lies,I got my full refund.
DO NOT PURCHASE ANY TYPE OF WARRANTY FROM THESE UNSCRUPULOUS THIEVES.

  40. MB Iftikhar on March 4, 2021 at 10:53 pm

After watching this video i did go through the fine print before purchasing the plan and i found out that they were offering two plans… a standard and an accidental plan, it seems like you purchased the wrong plan that might be a standard plan which is slightly cheaper then the accidental plan, i see that you haven’t mentioned which plan you purchased ? standard plans as per their website does not cover physical damages so i guess it is not a question of deception but an error of judgement on your part. To be honest my experience was great with square trade. I purchased a brand new laptop from geeksquad after almost using it for a month the laptop screen cracked by mistake, fortunately, i purchased an accidental plan from square trade which covered the issue. They also covered the shipment cost both ways as well to replace the screen and the good thing is that I’m still covered up to the original price i paid minus the repair cost. It is always better to research before buying any plan. Square trade is the best i must say amongst other extended protection plans in the market.

There’s only like 1 others "pro" video on this topic where the guy has his camera 📷 returned to him in superb condition! Which screams two things:
1: "take my money!" [but wait ✋, not so fast, the comments are set to OFF.]
2: *the comments are set to OFF*

Like you said, the insurance is really affordable and is a one time thing.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Gear Sport Smartwatch at the start of January so my time is running out to purchase their insurance. The watch is "only" 3 years [approximately] & was adult owned, pretty good condition to great condition. However, I did need to speak with Samsung and my cellphone carrier to bring it up to par. Samsung spent nearly an hour on the phone with me to get it where it needed to be. At zero charge. I’m only mentioning this because when it comes to electronics, usually the manufacturer will help you with technical issues at zero cost, providing you’re "nice", say hi back and ask how they’re doing 😉. Depending upon the item, they’ll even send you a replacement at zero cost, even cover the shipping. I bought a selfie stick last year and it literally broke. It was an expensive one at that. I called them up and I told them what happened and sent me a replacement, at no cost.

In regards to your keyboard ⌨, that’s what’s concerning me about the insurance. Should something happen with my watch and Samsung can’t or won’t fix it over the phone for "free", what would the cost be and IF I send it off to STrade, will they send it back to me in the same condition as I sent it off!?

Next, I tried asking ebay simple questions about STrade, such as, "what happens should they not be able to repair the item?" "Do they only give the $10 back or replace it?" -Or would they basically destroy the item because they don’t have a clue what they’re doing 🤔?

I also read their feedback on ebay and it’s not pretty!

There’s definitely not enough reviews for this "insurance". Like you said, the *fine print* to see all of what it covers.

Guess the plus side of my situation is, I only paid $83 for my item, tax & free shipping included, for a 3 year old item. *Should* they return my item as I sent it off and refund the insurance price, I didn’t lose anything.

I appreciate your time and video!
    Peace.
    Tiffany Martinez aka #TheGoldMessenger
