I love how much foreshadowing was in the video for his backyard kitchen lol

Imagine living in Africa or Asia, where you cook over a wood fire outdoors, and watching this video. Would you resent Americans? I know I would.

What a great episode. Thank you for showing us our dream appliances. To reiterate what Mongoose said, it’s 2020, time for an update. By the way it’s great to see you drool over the Evo that is such a cornerstone of your cooking shows today.

  10. Kathy liin on May 6, 2021 at 12:54 am

Hey Sam… Great info … Thanks … Can we get an update for 2020 / 21 ? I’m ready to kick my glass top stove to the curb side. I hate it. My next appliance will be with NO COMPUTER CHIPS. That’s nothing more than stupid, and the leading cause of premature death of the appliance, not to mention cost. I’d rather cook over a campfire now, and use an old fashion ice box. All those manufacturers think we have an endless supply of money for their products. Screw them all. I’m peeved with their life spans.

Amazing how much ended up in the backyard.

  15. hbgriss on May 6, 2021 at 12:57 am

On fridges. If in a budget and want the big stuff . Go separate. I got frigidares. Side by side separates. 900$ ea so 1800 for 19ft of fridge 19 feet of freezer. Work amd look like a sub zero or Viking etc. for 1/4 cost 💪🏼 Rscookss on Instagram.

  23. MaZEEZaM on May 6, 2021 at 1:03 am

I didn’t see any dedicated Wok burners on those stoves, its strange to me as basically every stove in Australia has a dedicated wok burner. I guess Wok cooking isn’t normal in the US?

  24. M R on May 6, 2021 at 1:03 am

you passed over the blue star range, that is what I want!

  25. Stalkingwolf on May 6, 2021 at 1:04 am

i work in kitchen and furniture industry in germany and the stuff in US is really amazing. much bigger. in germany almost no one cooks on a gas stove. we go outside to our grill. in the kitchen the most have ceramic hob or induction. and really i would not like to have a gas stove in my house. but they looks absolut amazing. a beast in your kitchen.

SubZero have fantastic fridges but they are only for the VERY rich as they are INCREDIBLY expensive.

It’s funny to watch this for the first time all these years later. Sam it’s your fucking backyard. You crack me up by far one of the best channels on you tube!!!

Sam, I’m watching this 5 years after your post date …… still relevant ….. but please revisit as the innovations continue …… thanks Sam!!

My fridge here has the ice maker but couldn’t find ANY WATER DISPENSER, but we have in the madding two door fridge on the top a vaccum chilled area that takes out ALL the air to preserve food. AND when you open the seal it sounds like the opening of the door to a shop on Star Wars. PSSST! Gawd I want the EVO and a BBQ grill.

  38. TJ Rohyans on May 6, 2021 at 1:31 am

I’ve been unemployed for about 4 months now, so any of this is just a dream. But if I had the budget I’d like to have, one thing I would certainly look into for my own kitchen remodel would be base cabinet refrigerated drawers (something not even mentioned in the video) rather than a stand-alone fridge, and a separate wall-mounted oven. The Evo would be a nice choice for an outdoor kitchen, but I’m not sold on the idea of one as my main in-house cook top. But that’s me.

Do not chince out on the range hood!
Can’t comment on downdraft systems. Doubt their effectiveness with high heat cooking.

  40. LoneWolf Ranger on May 6, 2021 at 1:31 am

If you own a home and cook, do you want to replace your modern big box store oven/grill every 5-7 years, or get one that lasts a lot longer

  41. kaypee1972 on May 6, 2021 at 1:32 am

These fridges, cooking places etc are larger than standard european flats

  42. Outdoorsygal O on May 6, 2021 at 1:32 am

    Thanks for the tour Sam!
So many choices! And so much here cost so much!
Now we have many faves….and we can dream.
However, we are blessed to live near Napoleon (Wolf Steel) and own a BBQ from there.
Of course there were many appliances in this video that Johnny and I would absolutely love!
We are foodies, and love to cook. Most nights are an event in the kitchen together.
People like you inspire us to do more.
Thanks Sam – you rock! 🤘🏻😎👍🏻

I never knew warming drawers were “warming drawers.” I always thought they were for storage. Lol.

  47. jlawrence01 on May 6, 2021 at 1:38 am

The more expensive the kitchen is in a home that I visit, the more likely that mist if not all of the food comes from Costco. Give me a country kitchen with a big table in the middle and simple appliances as that is where you will find all of the great food.

  48. Jennifer Kappa on May 6, 2021 at 1:38 am

Sam – do ypu cook with gas om a stovetop and electric for the oven.
