For those using Norton and getting error 0x104 simply do the following: Settings->Firewall->General Settings Tab->Public Network Exceptions->Enable Remote Desktop Connection Exception

Sometimes after restarting my computer, my static DNS (not the IP address though) for preferred and alternate get changed. I come into the settings and the fields are blank. It prevents me from using the internet. Has anyone else seen this issue?

  40. BrotherToTheFox on December 15, 2019 at 1:25 pm

    omfg…. it worked.

By the way, I encountered a problem at one point for setting up remote access outside the network. If on the small chance that you’re hardwired into a router, that is hardwired through your house to a master router, then you need to set up the port forwarding settings on BOTH routers. Was bashing my head against the wall when I realized there were actually two routers between my host client and my modem.

    how to remote resource feed?

  48. BrotherToTheFox on December 15, 2019 at 1:34 pm

So, I successfully got it working the first time, and about a week or two later, I tried accessing again from outside of my home network. It doesn’t work anymore. The internal connection no longer works now too. I’m really puzzled about what happened, and I can’t seem to find a solution. One thing that I realized when going through this video again is that for some reason for the external access, the port (3389) can no longer be seen. I haven’t changed anything from when it first worked (yes, I’m using static IPs), and yet, something on my PC changed. It isn’t obvious…
