    I don’t get the moment when photons hit electrons creating free electrons and holes, then the electrons move to the N side and the holes move to the P side under the electric fields at depletion zone. But doesn’t it make disappear the electric field as the electrons and holes now evenly distributed?? Since now we don’t have the electric field at the depletion zone further movement of holes and electrons is stopped. Perhaps, this is a too simple explanation of how solar cells work and the quantitative measurements are needed.

    Why not take solar in gaseous form. Solar Panels and windmills are a scam. They are unnatural. It places extra stress on your roof! It is unreliable. It is expensive. You save nothing, in fact, you spend more. Go with natural gas, reliable, cheap, environmentally friendly and most of all – it is all NATURAL. No refining, No additives, just out of the ground and delivered to you for a cheaper price. The infrastructure is already in place.

    why do the holes go back to the holes, and the extra electrons back to the phosphorus? shouldn’t the holes go to the electrons so the forces can balance?

    I don’t understand something, you say that this photon energy is sufficient to generate electron hole pair in the depletion region, do you mean the electron hole pairs in the p – region get high energy to be in the depletion region?

    Several typos: P end is positively charged and N end is negative. Also, the electric field direction should be opposite.
