In my testing, this UPS performed flawlessly switching to battery backup with 4/5 APFC power supplies. Only the super cheapie APFC PSU didn’t work correctly with it 🙂

Don’t turn it on! Tear it apart! Oops, wrong channel…

Is this device still working reliably? I’ve heard many complaints that BACK-UPS Pro tend to fail with F02 and F06 errors really soon and APC in the forums seem to blame APFC power supplies for that, but not sure. Anyway, if you have an APFC power supply, you might want to stay away from this model.

Thanks. That was just what I needed. I didn’t think the included instructions for my APS were very clear.

so how does this thing work? if it stays plugged in will it run anything you need it too, not using the battery that much? but then if power goes out, it’ll drain battery? Say I have 2 tvs a speaker and ps4 hooked up, will it be good just to use this as an outlet strip essentially?

I’m running a zotac ca320 nano from the Pro 700, as a wireless backup unit.
The battery backup would last almost 6 hours for that one 😛
~43 min if I connect a LCD. The time isn’t important on the machine tho..
    I just… didn’t have a smaller ups.

Question I own an APC Back-UPS Pro 1100 (BP1100). I just replaced the battery but after assembling the unit back I turned it on, the green LED turns on first blinks 36 times then goes off, at the same time I get a solid amber LED, beeping 4 times (5 times with a 30 secs interval). What can I do???

  20. Nader Belal on December 13, 2020 at 10:23 pm

You should do two videos, one for choosing the right ups for you, and another for the best ups available for consumers

I have this exact model. Had it for a long time, it’s about time I upgrade to the newer looking version of the 1500 variety since my latest Threadripper 2 beast PC will overload this old UPS easily.
