imho the nanoscreen only makes sense if you’re sitting near a big window or something else with bright light shining on your screen. The downside of the nanoscreen is, that it degrades the sharpness of the display, so when you need to have perfectly sharp pictures don’t take the nanoglass

I’m sorry to ask this but why these Apple computers look like they’re dated 1993? Apple designers dead? 😜

  3. En G2 on December 31, 2020 at 10:24 pm

First time asking this, since I don’t have this fancy stuff, but does this iMac is a nice combo with the new Mac mini? Since the new Mac mini will be using the M1 chip, the Apple Silicon.

  4. Sasha Gift on December 31, 2020 at 10:24 pm

The difference in camera quality of the iMac 27 inch 😲😲😲

  5. Gold Eddie on December 31, 2020 at 10:25 pm

There it is again. The feeling of something that is standard in future. Look at that screen. So beautiful.

    Keep up the spirits!

  12. You know me... on December 31, 2020 at 10:33 pm

1080p cam is ok. But still, your studio cam, the Canon is much much better. Apple doesn’t show us how many fps for 1080p cam. As I see you, it’s not very high.

  13. Lynn B. on December 31, 2020 at 10:34 pm

WOW…I gotta have that new screen!

  14. Vanessa Leon on December 31, 2020 at 10:38 pm

I love how you had another actual iMac next to it so we can visually see the comparisons, much appreciated. Thank you.

  15. PlayerX on December 31, 2020 at 10:38 pm

Honestly I plan to wait for the new Apple Silicon iMac. If they replace the 21.5" with a good 24" iMac with their own CPU, it could be a good second computer to me. i play games with my own windows 10 gaming rig as well, so yeah. just waiting to see what happens.

  16. Yozy on December 31, 2020 at 10:39 pm

    Great Job

Am i the only one at the edge of my seat hoping his iMac doesn’t fall off the table…so close to the edge.

125 GB hard drive, 8 GB ram on new iMac. Is Tim Cook dreaming about high school reunion? Hello! We are not in the 90s.

  20. Antoniocc on December 31, 2020 at 10:48 pm

the progress bar sticking out under the apple looks like a horrible appendicitis puncture unfit for a graphic designer.

  26. Michelle Larson on December 31, 2020 at 10:54 pm

Getting mine tomorrow, Dec. 8. 27" 10Gen 8G DDR4 with 1TB. I have a 2015 27", but after the Big Sur update, it seems to be running a little janky. I get paranoid about things like this, so I bought, what will hopefully be, the Last "Intel" desktop from Apple. Thanks for the overview. PEACE.

  27. Keith Peters on December 31, 2020 at 10:55 pm

What do you use and iMac for… just internet racing? Or do you actually do work on it?

  28. Frango-X on December 31, 2020 at 10:56 pm

Great review! Purchased my IMac 2020 27 inch this evening! You answered all my questions!

  29. Big Tony on December 31, 2020 at 10:57 pm

Does this support iTunes libraries .? ..I have a 2013 ..21 inch iMac that’s on it’s last legs and want to upgrade to the 27 inch and was hoping i can still use my iTunes library as i have 7 years of music to export ,, I read somewhere that the new macs don’t have it ..

  30. Starboy27 Myrie on December 31, 2020 at 10:59 pm

Can I have the old imac😅😅😅

  31. TWYLA on December 31, 2020 at 10:59 pm

  32. Murat Isik on December 31, 2020 at 10:59 pm

Would be interesting if you also interviewed writers (novelists, scriptwriters, journalists).
I mean, they are creators too! And that is often forgotten. How do they work on their Macs and do they, for example use Scrivener or Word on Office? And what is their favourite Mac(Book) and why? And laptop or desktop? All interesting questions.

  33. Ernoburger on December 31, 2020 at 11:00 pm

Question: Most videos on youtube are still 1080p (especially if you use Safari). How does 1080p footage look on a 5K screen? I also still have a 1080p camera. Will the 1080p footage I shoot look blurry on a 5k monitor like this? Thanks.

  34. Jean-Claude de Shable on December 31, 2020 at 11:01 pm

Apple iMac simply ROCKs … The thing is that I will keep my 2016 iMac 27" and yes, most probably buy another iMac 27" rather soon as once the Apple processors come in play on iMac’s most probably you will not be able to upgrade your ram via 3rd party products as is the case at the moment.

  35. Vikram Antin on December 31, 2020 at 11:02 pm

I just bought one with the mid level base model. No upgrades at all. Now, I’m not a power user by any means and sometimes use lightroom to spruce up my photos. Other than that it is mostly browsing and watching videos. I am not sure I would need too many upgrades as I already have 512GB storage and 8GB Ram with the 5300 video driver. Please advise if I need to upgrade to future proof it if I start doing some small time video editing. I’m receiving it on 11/19 and I can return it and order the upgrade if you guys think I’m missing out on some critical upgrades. I still don’t get what the 10Gigabit network thing does, so there is that.
ps: I did buy some accessories to go along with it. A samsung touch id T7 – 1GB external ssd, a rain design base for iMac 27 and a caddy called backpack by Twelve South…. I plan to upgrade RAM at a future time if I find this setup inadequate.

  36. France Toronto on December 31, 2020 at 11:04 pm

I’m still running my 2013 imac 27 inch. I use it everyday for LR, PS, and FCPX. The fusion drive finally failed, so now I’m using an external SSD to boot it up.

  37. Scarlat Dorian on December 31, 2020 at 11:05 pm

the imac its same, but the diference of imac 2020 is memory GPU etc.

  38. Teri Weronko on December 31, 2020 at 11:06 pm

Do you think 1 TB is the minimum ssd one should get in this imac ( i am a hobby photographer with a 2 TB library… thanks, love your videos!

  39. F G on December 31, 2020 at 11:07 pm

Apple has a lot of these Imac’s in stock and need to sell them before the new imac’s come out

I’m buying that on nov 27 Black Friday cause it will be cheaper

  47. Kyle K. on December 31, 2020 at 11:20 pm

Thank you for being so calm and informative. I’m going to buy the new iMac on saturday and Linus’ overdramatization of "dead on arrival" was a bit too much and made me very anxious of even buying at all. It’s true that it will last for years to come and apple might update the desktops late so if I need it now then I should buy it

  48. Space Wiz on December 31, 2020 at 11:21 pm

For the price id sure like for it to last. Are macs worth it for a 8 year or more ownership?

  49. max factor on December 31, 2020 at 11:21 pm

how someone can but a Computer with 1.5-inch bezel screen in 2020 ? Must be idiot I bet

  50. Vijay Chitte on December 31, 2020 at 11:22 pm

I already brought on 7th of October 2020 … but, I am completely happy with speed . But, when you data access external hard drive it has huge lag for performance… rest all is great …
